So the SAP Train Race competition has started……
Even in the cold cold light of a hard day of “drinking from a fire hose” the CompriseIT team are still glad to have finally started on creating our “Influenza App”.
Paul has led the first Scrum and we have agreed the stories to be included in the first sprint (which ends at 11pm tonight !), tasks have been allocated and I have been given the role of creating the logo for the app and updating the backlog (cos I can’t develop).
Out critical point of failure is now Paul as is grapples to create the OData services in the backend ERP system before the other two need to start consuming them into the many and varied UI components we have envisaged. The question is will he get these done before Mark and Lewis start needing to consume these OData services ?
No problem if he can’t as Mark, Lewis and myself can always go into Paris for the night and leave him to it (would we do that).
At this stage we still think that our app idea will be achievable and we have a couple of ideas for the “stretch sprint” on the train to Madrid on danger is that these will these push us and the technology too far - could everything crash and burn, only the next 72 hours can tell.
But what are the other teams planning ? are their ideas better than ours ? too late for such thoughts, we are on board our train now with no getting off.
