Once again we are assembling a team to wield SAP Business ByDesign to compete in InnoJam at SAP TechEd Madrid.
What is InnoJam?
InnoJam is a 30 hour extreme programming event during the preconference period at SAP TechEd / SapphireNow in Madrid. Contestants propose business scenarios related the theme, sustainability, and then organize teams that then build prototype solutions to address their chosen scenarios leveraging SAP technology.

SAP Mentor Andreas Eissmann will be leading the team, and has proposed creating The ultimate personal CO2 emission reduction challenge, leveraging the gamification engine that was built for SAP TechEd Las Vegas. Incidentally, Andreas Eissmann is one of the most prolific developers of apps for ByDesign on the SAP Store, so I’m very excited to have him leading the team.

If you are attending InnoJam and are trying to decide which technologies you might want to try out, consider ByDesign for a few reasons:
- As a Platform as a Service (PaaS), installation is already done for you
- The ByDesign Studio is especially geared for rapidly developing cloud applications with web-based and mobile access
- Apps running in the ByDesign PaaS are automatically integrated with the SAP Business ByDesign application, giving you numerous APIs, business objects, and business processes to integrate with.

How to Attend InnoJam
If you are interested in attending InnoJam in Madrid, the dates are November 6 – 7. Cost is €200 + 18% Spanish VAT if you are attending the full TechEd conference, or €350 + 18% Spanish VAT if you want to come just for InnoJam. The registration processis part of the general conference registration, so you can easily add it on. If you are coming just for InnoJam, be aware you have to click through a couple of screens, but you can register only for InnoJam in this process.
