Sold Out!  Something every retailer likes to hear.  From October 19-21st, our 5th annual SAP Retail Forum welcomes  250 people from the best and brightest in the retail industry, to the Windy City, Chicago.

Our theme is Retail Without Boundaries Today – our customers, partners, and colleagues from the SAP Retail field organization and the SAP Retail Industry Business Unit are getting together to share where they see retail going in the near term.  Our agenda is here: http://www.sap.com/industries/retail/retailforum2011-agenda.epx

Retailers that have survived the past few years have done so with strong focus on Operational Efficiency, and are now making significant investments to facilitate the growth of their companies, through better products and services or greater Customer Intimacy.

We’re going to hear stories from academia, retailers, partners, and SAP staff on how retail companies are transforming themselves to thrive in the new economy.  A significant number of companies are growing across boundaries, entering new countries, new markets, or new channels.  The old silos between stores and on-line business are coming down, and the leaders are eliminating boundaries across these sales channels.  Whether it’s through gaining Customer Insight, enhanced Omni-channel selling and service, or through better execution, the industry is pushing hard to reinvent itself.  SAP is taking a leadership role, delivering retail-specific and cross-industry solutions to enable the business systems strategy of the future.

I hope to see you there, and know this event will be the catalyst for many new innovations in the retail industry.  SAP will be unveiling new mobile capabilities, sharing solution roadmaps, and collaborating with our Retail customers and partners to make the best run better. Happy Retailing!
