Process Chain: It’s the primary tool to control and automate the processes in BI. We use it to perform common, repeated tasks in our BI system.

Purpose of this blog: Many times it happens, after we design the new Process Chain,

a) We want to keep client's logo on Process Chain Maintenance screen.

b) Some customizing messages to be shared across the designer community across our project.

 Example: "When using the create option, be sure that a process chain is designed to load the reference master data before the transaction data is loaded, to avoid lookup of obsolete data".

c) Any specific naming conventions to be followed while creating the new process variants/process types.

Through the following screenshots shown below depicts a simple example on how to upload an image which is saved on your local workstation.

Step1: Logon to the SAP BW system. Goto Transaction code RSPC.

Step2: Goto Settings ->Background Picture

Step3: Select the Image file placed in your local work station, you can choose also from the Database.

After  browsing the file, you can also choose for “Stretch to Fit” option
