In the current Healthcare regulatory environment, the development of an Accountable Care Organization (ACO) and Mobile Health Solutions is paramount to achieving a patient centered strategy and understanding how to enable this strategy will be a key differentiator. Mobility creates the ability for the provider to obtain patient information anytime, anywhere, allowing the provider to get a better picture of the patient, and creates a better opportunity to have a transparent practice.
Hospitals are embracing population health and, in doing so, need to be able to more proactively manage populations of chronically ill patients in an effort to reduce unnecessary ED visits, reduce length of stay, and reduce re-admissions. Hospitals need to have a one-year plan showing that ROI is tied to outcomes, and mobility can help create that ROI.
