Long summer days mean that autumn is just around the corner, and autumn brings the SAP TechEd 2011 season in Las Vegas, Bangalore, Madrid, and Beijing.  I’ve spent since January meeting with the track owners and session owners, planning and prepping the fantastic sessions were offering this year.  Autumn means that all the hard work finally pays off; by bring you the best SAP technical education out there.

The tracks will dive deep into SAP NetWeaver technology platform solutions such as SAP NetWeaver Business Process Management, SAP NetWeaver Process Integration, SAP NetWeaver Identity Management, and SAP NetWeaver Master Data Management. Plus, the tracks explore SAP BusinessObjects solutions and tools such as SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence, SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence, SAP Crystal Dashboard Design, SAP Crystal Reports, and SAP BusinessObjects Explorer.  Also, what would SAP TechEd be without detailed instructions for Application Lifecycle Management through SAP Solution Manager.  Developers, we have not left you out.  As always, you have an entire track dedicated to showcasing the latest in Custom Development that extends SAP NetWeaver technology platform and SAP Business Suite. Security diehards, won’t be left in the dark with some very cool new SSO solutions and SAP NetWeaver Identity Management innovations covered in the Security, Compliance, Identity, and Access Management track.

New this year, Mobile now has its own track and will show you the solutions and tools you need to take the data from your SAP landscape to the mobile devices of your choice.  We’ve also expanded the Technology Overview and Infrastructure track to include guidelines for implementation and system landscape planning in addition to roadmap and strategy sessions.

SAP TechEd will also give you the opportunity to experience the latest innovations with on-demand solutions and in-memory computing.  Learn how to develop on SAP Business ByDesign, build on-demand Java applications, and take your enterprise into the cloud with virtualization and cloud computing technologies.  In-memory computing was one of the main innovations coming out of SAPPHIRE NOW in May.  Now it’s your turn to get your hands on these in-memory computing solutions with SAP HANA.  In the Enterprise Information Management track, get a detailed understanding of how to set up SAP HANA and ensure your data is structured properly.  In the Business Intelligence and Performance Management track, you’ll learn about the applications that run on top of SAP HANA

With all this innovation in the sessions, how we could leave the SAP TechEd websites without some very cool improvements.  We’ve completely overhauled the way you’ll search and find the sessions you want to attend.  Use our new filter-based system, to customize your view of our extensive agenda.  You can also add sessions to your favorites before we open the agenda builder. This allows you to send the sessions you hope to attend to your manager and ease the approval process to come. Plus, when the agenda builder and hands-on workshop sign up opens, you can quickly find the sessions you want in your agenda when we open.

The content for SAP TechEd is global, so all of these fantastic SAP sessions are offered in Las Vegas, Bangalore, and Madrid, are now published for you to start planning your must-attend favorites!  Beijing offers a subset of sessions that will be published in August.

It’s a hands-on session.  It goes over tools I can use today.  Some of the tools I do use, and it would be nice to know more about.  It should be very cool!

Honestly – I’m just excited about Teched!!!  I can’t wait to be there.
