Web Intelligence Quick Display Mode: To fit Web Intelligence reports with large no. of columns in one page
Few days back, I received a call from one of my user using BusinessObjects Web Intelligence. He seemed to be concerned for one of his Web Intelligence report. It was a crosstab report and with large numbers of columns horizontally. And when he viewed the report in Quick Display Mode the report columns were split in two pages. He wanted all the columns to appear in single page in quick display mode.
In such cases, we just need to modify one of the properties for a report page in Web Intelligence. Under Properties tab go to Page content, modify the property Horizontal records per page as required. Similarly we have property for numbers of Vertical records per page.

How I wished we had something similar for pdf view also. It’s always a challenge when the numbers of columns are big and users want the columns to appear in single page of pdf. It always results in modifying the left, right margins and manually playing with column width and font sizes to fit the columns in one pdf page. Something like Desktop Intelligence’s Page to Fit would have been so useful. I hope this feature is available in BI 4.0 release of Web Intelligence.
