Join ramp-up for Duet Enterprise Feature Pack 1

Duet Enterprise 1.0 has been launched in February and we can already see a lot of tracktion. We had several very successfull Dev Jams where partners from accross the globe developed — within one week — amazing applications on top of Duet Enterprise.

Now we want to start the next jorney with you. Feature Pack 1 for Duet Enterprise 1.0 was announced at SAPPHIRE NOW 2011 in Orlando, Florida and soon the Ramp-up will start.

Some of the major enhancements with Feature pack 1 are

  • Based on latest SAP NetWeaver Gateway technology
    – Enable additional consumers (such as mobile devices) for objects in SAP NetWeaver Gateway
    – Provide fully integrated development environment in workbench for ABAP
    – Support backward compatible

  • Simplified and enhanced development process

  • Additional building blocks and templates for enabling “most asked for” scenarios like:
    – Time management (calendar-based scenarios)
    – Customer relationship management (CRM) – contact-based scenarios
If you want to participate in the RampUp for Feature Pack 1 for Duet Enterprise 1.0  please use our Online Scoping tool (SMP user required) to nominate yourself for Ramp-Up. The purpose of the questionnaire is to gather all necessary information that we need to evaluate which customers should participate in Ramp-Up. Once the nomincation is complete we will come back to you to discuss next steps (but give us some time for that…).
Hope to see you soon in ramp-up.

      Hello Holger,

I am working at a client who is part of the Ramp-up for Duet FP1 and have a small question:
How will the installation of GW2.0 and upgrade to FP1 affect existing functionality running on Duet 1.0?  Are there some migration steps that must be done before the existing functionality will work?  Or will it be "transparent" to the users?

      Hi Judith,

the upgrade to FP1 should not affect your developments in any way. Whatever you have -- and is already running -- with Duet Enterprise 1.0 will still work with FP1.
