The Long Road to Sustainability Curriculum (Part 2)
I had the pleasure of attending the University Alliance event in Milwaukee last week, a great program attended by over 100 academic educators and practitioners. With the news of the SAP Business ByDesign Feater Pack 3.0 update later this month, alternatives to integrate a cloud-based ERP environment with the OnDemand tools (such as Carbon OnDemand used for basic green and footprint assessment) become more real.
My working model for a sustainable business curriculum includes one overview course (call it the “101” course) and up to four additional functional specialties:
– Procurement and Green Purchasing
– Sustainable Supply Chain and Logistics
– Sustainable Reporting and Performance Management
The capstone possibility would include a full simulation. That gets to the interesting part. I will be speaking with the folks at Cal State Chico who have deep experience in this development, there may be some opportunity to collaborate / co-innovate on that topic.
More to follow on this journey. Thanks to all for the comments and feedback.
Best regards.
Hi! Very interested to hear how things go with your Sustainability curricula. Connecting with CHICO is a good thing! When is your target date for delivery?
Best regards,
Richard
P.S. I'm a friend of Scott F.
