Today I would like to share with you the enhanced process of modules creation in Enterprise Workspaces 1.1. As you probably remember from my previews Leverage existing SAP NetWeaver Portal content in Enterprise Workspaces, there are three options to create modules in Enterprise Workspaces:
- From PCD – create a module directly from an iView
- From Role – crate a module from an iView which resides within a role
- From URL – create a module based on a specific URL
With Enterprise Workspaces 1.1 we have enhanced the mechanism of modules creation. Now, In order to create mass content for Enterprise Workspaces, you can select multiple iViews from an existing role. In only few clicks you will get plenty of modules, ready to use in your users module gallery.
So how exactly does it work?
Step 1: under Workspace Administration > Module Templates, click on the option of creating modules out of an existing portal role
Step 2: Search for the portal role, from which you would like to create the modules
Step 3: select all the iView you would like to "wrap" as modules
Finaly: Continue with the wizard as usual. Once completed, all the iViews which were selected in step (3) will be created as modules.
As you can see, mass content creation for Enterprise Workspaces 1.1 is easier than even before. Hope you will find this new capability useful for you.
