Using Transaction FDT_HELPERS in BRFplus

Whilst digging around on an internal portal i came across transaction FDT_HELPERS which is an all in one BRFplus transaction that allows you to access various BRFplus transactions and reports in one place. I thought it would be a useful transaction to use on our current BRFplus project.

If you try and access FDT_HELPERS in your NW 702 or NW 7.3 system you may notice that the transaction is not allowed and the only option available on the popup is to exit the transaction.

A BRFplus colleague of mine (matthias.kucharska/blog) let me know that as of April you can activate this transaction in customer systems using note 1576546.

I implemented the note on a NetWeaver 702 SP07 system. SNOTE will download the prerequisite notes and will finally need to implement the following notes:

Before SNOTE can implement the notes, some of the notes require manual corrections to be done. Go through the list carefully and be sure to complete all the manual corrections. The manual corrections that need to be done are to message classes FDT_CORE and FDT_WD_CORE_OBJECTS as well as to Text Elements in objects CL_FDT_WD_TABLE_OPR_MODEL and CL_FDT_WD_RENDER_TABLE_OPR.

Once the corrections are complete you can implement the notes. I chose to implement them individually so as to be sure once again that i had checked each note.
