SDN Withdrawal Pains
Last week I was in Beijing teaching students about ERP systems and SAP. I spent a considerable amount of time telling the students, who were studying our Masters of ERP Systems, about why it is important to familiarise themselves with SDN if they want a SAP career. I began to demonstrate some of the relevant areas of SDN to the students only to realise that I could access the SDN home page but when I tried to navigate to blogs, forums, elearning, etc that the navigation error screen appeared. I originally thought that it must be an issue at the university. Later I attempted to access the SDN pages in my hotel room only to be faced with the same error. I also tried different browsers but experienced the same problem.
On a previous trip to Beijing I posted a message in the Chinese Language forum of the University Alliances Program (UAP) in regard to my availability to present to students in different universities. I did not get a reply although different universities had asked previously about my availability to present. It now appears that the Chinese Language UAP Forum cannot be accessed by lecturers in China. If this is the case then they will probably have problems accessing the repository of curriculum materials.
I have asked my Chinese students if they can try to access SDN from home using various means and let me know if they were successful. To date I have not received an email.
I am now trying to catch up on all the Sapphire related blogs.
If somebody knows how my students can access SDN pages in China it would be much appreciated.
