The Customer Engagement Initiative (CEI) provides mainly the following benefits for customers:

  • Get an early insight into SAP product plans
  • Influence the product development
  • Closely collaborate in a structured approach during the full development cycle at SAP
  • Network with peers around one topic
  • Securely exchange information in a clear legal framework for customers and SAP

There are different levels of engagement:

  1. In Detail (SAP to visit the customer, joint in depth discussion and analysis, SAP support for implementation)
  2. Review (workshops in Walldorf, Interviews)
  3. Info (status meetings)

The procedure is as follows:

  1. Register (contact me directly for the details until end of April, 2011)
  2. Initial Call
  3. Collaborate (in specification. design and setting of priorities, testing, piloting)

Primary benefits

  • Gain early insights into SAP‘s product visions / ideas / research projects
  • Gain early insights into potential later products through evaluation of early prototypes before they are implemented
  • Provide requirements and feedback directly to the product team
  • Establish a direct line of communication to the product development organization
  • Be amongst the first to take new functionality into production

Ancillary benefits

  • Opportunity to share ideas, solutions and best practices within an ecosystem of similar SAP customers and partners
  • Have the opportunity to expand your professional network by participating in a community of business experts and end-users who share similar interests

SAP’s Customer Engagement Initiative – It’s great to be part of it!

Topics in BRFplus to be part of CEI

  • UI development; usage of RIA technologies such as Silverlight (e.g. for flow and tree modeling)
  • Remote Code generation; using the BRFPlus workbench to model and deploy (generate) business rules into other systems (e.g. a CRM system on a code line which does not include BRFplus yet)

Sounds interesting? Don’t hesitate to contact me.
