The Marketing Calendar is the starting point for all activities a Marketing or Sales professional has to accomplish within her/his daily business independent whether they are in the phase of planning, executing or evaluating marketing activities such as Product Launch Campaigns.

The goals of defining and executing marketing activities are to increase brand awareness, market share and sales volume. In order to achieve these goals, all of these marketing activities must be included in a cross-enterprise, global marketing and sales strategy. They should be aligned so that they complement and strengthen each other, rather than seeking to run independently of each other.

The marketing calendar is used as a central entry point to provide a working area that gives the Marketing and Sales Professionals an overview of all planned and running marketing activities within a certain time range. The users have the possibility to create new marketing activities, to edit existing activities or to display additional data such as KPIs directly in the Marketing Calendar.

While creating new marketing activities they can leverage the Campaign Templates which are fully integrated in the new Marketing Calendar. Using best practice templates means improved productivity – reduction of clicks to create a complete campaign and better control – use templates to help ensure the right marketing tactics are employed in the organization.
