SAP CRM EHP1 has certainly made life easier and ‘wow’ in several ways. The Tag cloud, development of applications directly from database tables, mash-ups and the tile-layout are definitely impressive developments. (A presentation regarding the new features can be found here ). I hope to be writing a blog mentioning further details about this soon.

However, one particular thing that caught my attention is the introduction of wizards that would help bring down development efforts significantly. Since CRM 7.0, the wizards for developing custom views in Web UI have been quite popular. Needless to say, SAP has definitely gone the extra mile in bringing out the wizards for creating fully functional search and guided activity pages.

The simple way in which the wizard helps to develop a fully working Advanced Search application in the CRM Web UI is exceptionally good. A development that would have originally taken up hours to complete, can now be done in a few minutes. And the fun doesn’t end there – even extra features like saved searches can be directly built up using the wizard.
