What began in Sydney a few years back as a local awareness raising effort of the World Wildlife Fund, has turned into a global phenomenon, capturing the imagination of politicians, citizens and celebrities. Earth Hour now takes place at 8:30pm on Saturday, March 26  with 50 million people participating in more than 35 countries.

And it starts by committing a small amount of time this Saturday evening. Do it!
