Today in Savannah, Georgia we continued to meet with Business ByDesign partners at the 2011 Channel Partner Summit in the Run SaaSier Track
It was great to see our partners ERP Logic & RJT Compuquest be awarded as SAP Business ByDesign 2010 Partners of the Year, we look forward to additional customer success stories coming from them in 2011.
After the SAP keynotes on the main stage, attendees broke into the breakout sessions. The Run SaaSier track was kicked off by a session titled “In the Clouds or On the Ground: How to sell the advantages of SaaS” presented by Bruce Sinclair, SAP Business ByDesign Channel Development Manager. The session focused on the inherent benefits of the SaaS ERP model versus traditional, on-premise competitors and also provided insight into competing against SaaS competitors. Attendees were shown that the ability to differentiate the SaaS ERP model from the traditional On-Premise ERP approach is more important than knowing to position ByDesign vis-à-vis individual on-premise solutions.
Geoff Ashley, SAP Business ByDesign Director of Business Development let an invitation only session for partner business owners. In this session, partner principals, owners and executives were given a unique perspective into the operational, financial, and organizational aspects of running a successful, growing and profitable on-demand business. Key KPI’s were discussed along with strategies for hiring, managing, measuring and compensating employees.
Some of our conversations from Monday continued into today, with Suzanne O’Kelly presenting Best Practices in Consulting and Implementation. She discussed some service delivery KPI’s to show which service offerings regularly come in under budget and how to keep a positive relationship with customers after ‘Go Live’. And two new SAP Services support options were introduced Sharing our experiences from the past few years should help our partners be improve their profitability quickly. Becky Beane & Laura Folsom continued the marketing discussion on “How to Own Your Market in 90 Days” where partners were given many ideas on how they can get more involved with the SAP influencer marketing events and activities.
In our final presentation of the day, partners were shown a demo of the SAP Business ByDesign Studio.
