Today in Savannah, Georgia we met with the Business ByDesign partners at the 2011 Channel Partner Summit.
After the SAP keynotes on the main stage, attendees broke into the breakout sessions. The Run SaaSier track was kicked off by Frank Iannotti, Vice President for Business ByDesign North America and Geoff Ashley, Director of Business Developments with a Welcome Session giving a very informative and inspirational message demonstrating how SAP Business ByDesign has not only been validated within the marketplace, but has gained tremendous momentum exceeding all initial expectations. The session also gave partners a clear vision of how Business ByDesign will be one of the key contributors of the SAP goal to obtain 1 billion users by 2015 with partners being the most important contributor to this success.
Other key presentations included Kent Richeson, Channel Sales Manager, reviewing the prescriptive sales process recommendation for channel partners. He talked about the different stages of: Executive Alignment, Discovery, Solutions Workshops, and the Final Presentation. Ari Ackerman, presenting How to Build an Effective Pipeline, reviewing the tools and resources available to Business ByDesign partners. Mark Compher presented "Wow! I Didn't Know That! Demos That Sizzle"
The day wrapped up with Estimating the Services Effort (Before the Sale) presented by Suzanne O'Kelly, Business Development Manager, who recently joined the channel sales team from the SAP professional services team. Partners have been asking for more detail on how to estimate their services. And this final session for the day was a great way to share her experiences to help Business ByDesign partners be successful and profitable.
