Edited 01/03/2011: External Link to dashboard added

Edited 02/03/2011: Links updated

From my personal point of a new area for Business Intelligence starts with BW 7.3 and SAP BO BI 4.0. It is the big new thing or hype in 2011. SAP BW now comes with a data flow GUI, hybridprovider, semantic infoprovider, which are my three highlights. BI 4.0 promises a much better integration in SAP BW, multi-langual reports, Advanced Analysis MS Office and OLAP edition. Ramp-up of both is on the road and I expect lots of good new blogs and articles in the next weeks and months. You can find very good blogs right now SAP BW Developers SDN Blog Series Accompanying the BW 7.3 Ramp-Up Phase here in SDN. To help you simplify the search I will collect over the time my favourite blogs to BW 7.3 and SAP BO Business Intelligence 4.0 blogs here and keep it up-to-date once per month.

I decided to do it in the tradtional way and in the BI way – using SAP Dashboard Design.

For the BI way I created a little Xclesius dashboard, from which you can select one of my favourite blogs and it opens in a new window. I simply created an Excel containing the links and the title of the blogs and articles.  I copied these lines into Excel workplace of Xcelsius. As frontend I decided to use a 2 tab pane, one tab for BI 4.0 and one tab for BW 7.3. As second step I added a list to each pane which shows the corresponding blogs or article titles. If you selct one article the line will be copied to an Excel destination cell. This cell is input for the “Read blog” URL button. If you press this button the URL will be opened in a new window.

You can find the dashboard on this site and try it out.

Here are my favourite BI 4.0 blogs:

These are my favourite BW  7.3 blogs:

I hope you find it worth to stop by from time to time and browse through the blogs.

    It looks like you used the same link for everything *which makes sense);
    problem is that the link you used for “SAP Business Objects BI Solutions 4.0 and the New Semantic Layer for SAP Net weaver BW and OLAP” is wrong.

    The others appear correct.
