Social Intelligence Meets Streamwork

In late January 2011, a new feature was rolled into the SAP StreamWork OnDemand product.  The “People” tab was added as a simple point and click tool to acquire contact information as well as relationships between participants within your activities. 

Users can view information about their contacts through several interfaces:

• The “My Network” option displays your Frequent Collaberators, All your Collaberators, People you are following, or people on your Chat list.

• Another option is “Find People” that provides a search mechanism as well as filtering by Organization or Job Title.

• One of the most exciting options is “Explore Networks” which displays a graphical depiction of how your Collaberators are tied together.  By clicking on one of your Collaberators, you can view a new representation of ties to others that he/she has.

• The final option available is “Discover Connections”.  By dragging a user name into a graphical drawing board, you can view the shared activity relationships.

This aspect of Social Intelligence provides a user friendly method of puting faces to names as well as showing how participants are inter-related.
