In the latest release of SAP StreamWork, we've responded to customer requests by adding integration with Google Docs and more native tools that make it even faster and easier to use.
Create and edit documents with Google Docs
For people who use Google Docs, there's now an easy way to make sure your documents in SAP StreamWork always stay up to date. Just sign in to SAP StreamWork using your Google account, and you'll be able to choose Google as the source when you upload a file. You'll see all the documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and other files that you've created in Google, which you can then embed directly into your StreamWork activity. Access old versions of documents
Have you ever overwritten a document in your SAP StreamWork activity - and wished you could go back to the old version? Now you can: Every time you replace an existing document by uploading a new version of it, SAP StreamWork will automatically keep a copy of the old version. You'll be able to view all of the old versions and revert to whichever one is best. And it's not just for documents - versioning works on all types of file uploads and even text items. Find the right activities faster
Activities are the heart of SAP StreamWork - and we've heard you say that you need better ways to find and sort yours - especially if you have lots of them. In this update, we've added two new features that make it easier to find the activity you're looking for. Video: Find SAP StreamWork activities faster with the filter and worklists
Worklists. Use worklists to group your activities into logical groups. For instance, you might create a "Marketing" worklist and a "Sales" worklist if you work a lot with those teams. Once you've created a worklist, you can select a specific activity and choose to add it to that worklist. But what if one activity is relevant to both marketing and sales? No problem - you can add it to both worklists.
Activity filter. Click the Filter button above the list of your activities, type in a keyword - either a word from the activity name or the name of the owner - and your activity list will shrink to show you just the activities that include that keyword.
Find the right people faster
If you're connected to a lot of people in SAP StreamWork, you may be sitting on a treasure trove of expertise that you could tap into - if only you knew what it held. In this release, we've made it easier to find experts and connect with people in your company.
If your organization uses the enterprise edition of SAP StreamWork, you'll immediately be connected to your company-wide network - without having to invite people or request connections, as in other social networking tools. With the enterprise edition, your company can also choose to add data from its enterprise directory, which means profiles will automatically contain rich, useful information, like reporting relationships.
Click the "People" button at the top of SAP StreamWork, and you'll see new ways to search for and connect with people in your network. Click "Find People" and you'll be able to search for people and keywords in their profiles.
