SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.3 Simplified process for creating Application Integration iViews
Dear experts,
During the last weeks, we have been sharing with you several blogs and info sessions about the new enhancements coming with the SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.3. By now, I assume that you have already read several blogs about the new release of the SAP NetWeaver Portal and you have at least an idea about what’s new there for you.
Today, I would like to explain the new and simplified concept of creating Application Integration iViews with the SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.3. For those of you who are relatively new with the portal, these are iViews pointing to back-end applications (transactions, Web Dynpro JAVA and ABAP, etc.).
Without writing too many sentences, I would like to show you how this is done with a short YouTube video. So, watch the movie bellow and you will get the whole idea. If you have any question, please comment bellow and I will do the best to answer.
For those of you who do not have access to YouTube, you can find the movie also in the following link.
Isn’t it easy now?! Even none portal experts can performe this in minutes.

There should be a governance process around portal object creation, and while it is nice to make the final steps easier, I think we still seem to be missing the approval process etc.
Adding a concern to the Michael's comment: is it possible to enforce some schema to iViews? Like: namespace pattern (does not have to contain _0) or a minimum description of the iView?
BTW: nice to make this video also accessible outside of youtube, as I'm one of the people behind a proxy that blocks youtube.
Sure, we have the prefix capability for a PCD object (as we had in the 7.0x version), simply it is not shown in the video.

Good Improvement.By default it creates transaction of type SAP GUI for HTML . It would be nice to have other SAP GUI Type like SAP GUI for Windows at the time of creating an iView.
No values(System alias) loading in Search in field. Please help me , if you have any idea.
