Get the connection status between MII and UDS Server and display it on front end

*Introduction:  *

In one of our requirements,we needed to get the connection status between UDS server and SAP MII and display it on front end by using an image.

*Subject Knowledge:*

  • SAP MII*   *    Transaction flow. 0.1. JavaScript     *Technical Requirement:*   Requirement is to get the connection status of the UDS server from SAP MII and display it on front end by using an image. E.g.if connection is available, image would be displayed with Green color else red color. From MII Home page,if we go to Data Services->Connection Status,we can view the connection status. But User can not view the connection status. So for user perspective,if we display the connection status between UDS Server and MII in application,it will be better. Suppose if there is no connection available between UDS server and MII,user is not able to see the data in MII application and wonders what is the issue. If user can view the connection status on front end, such type of confusion will not happen. This section gives step by step approach on how to achieve this.          *Approach:* Here are the Steps: *Step 1: Transaction Flow*               1.   Create the transaction for requirement. Simple transaction is shown below for explanation. 2. Transaction has one XML_Loader_0 action block. 3. Go to Configuration tab and give the URL as like below:   4. *XML_Loader_0* action block will return all the server names. We need to filter  our UDS Server. 5. *Generic_Sort_Filter_0* Action block is used to filter UDS server. 6. Define one local property called status.Define one transaction property called outxml. 7. *Assignment_0* action block is used for assigning the local variable called status  based on *Generic_Sort_Filter_0 *output as shown below.

I move back and forth between ABAP, WDA, etc. to MII.  This will be another page I bookmark.  Your step by step process is very much appreciated.
