A Bex Query on the Cloud

In this weblog i would demonstrate how to display the result’ data of a Bex Query on SAP Business Object Explorer in the cloud. What’s SAP Business Object Explorer in the cloud?? SAP Business Object Explorer in the cloud is a SAP Business Object Explorer, available at everyone, where you can visually explore and analyze your Excel spreadsheets and is available at this address: https://create.ondemand.com/explorer

Here is possible to download an Addin for Microsoft Excel.

After that you have dowloaded and installed the Addin for Microsoft Excel , a new component appear on Microsoft Excel.

At this point, you can send result’s data of a Bex Query to SAP Business Object in the cloud. To do this, you could follow these step’s:

1) execute a Bex Query by BEx Analyzer or by Advanced Analysis for Microsoft Excel (in the image the Bex Query is the Sales Order Material of SAP Business Content):

2)  select all table content, push the button “Explorer in the cloud”  and the the button “Send Selection”.

Et voilà.. the result’s  of a Bex Query are in the cloud of SAP Business Object Explorer:

When you selected “Send Selection” , you could receive this error message :

To avoid it, is necessary set this properties on characteristic infobject’s:

1) always suppress the result value

2) disable the option: Suppress Repetead Key Figure.

There isn't a direct connect between Explorer  in the cloud and a Bex Query.
In this weblog i wanted simply demonstrate that, by the Addin for Microsoft Excel, is possible to send the result's  of a Bex Query to "Explorer in the cloud. Then , you can explore the data with this new instrument.

      Hi,
This tool seems to be great but it gives me a proxy error (407 proxy authentication required) in Excel when I click in "Send selection" button. Do you know how could I fix it.
      Thanks a lot!!!
      Best regards,
