Challenges of being SAP BW-BI-EPM SIs (System Integrators) – part 2

In part 1 (Challenges of being SAP BW-BI-EPM SIs (System Integrators) – part 1) I discussed the areas SIs (system integrators) should focus during this volatile phase. In this blog I am discussing how old SAP BW projects are different from new SAP BW/BI projects from efforts perspective.

From System Integrator perspective start of any work is ‘efforts estimation’, resources one needs to put in 🙂 that is the bread and butter.

From BW / BI projects perspective things have changed dramatically in last couple of years and your old templates, resource loading sheets or even your gut feeling might go wrong. For example a simple straight forward BW project (Earlier & Now).

Things are even more complicated if you add SAP BPC to landscape and compare it BPS / IP kind of landscape.

Challenge is to educate internal and external stake holders of the changes (upside) in those estimations!!!
