The SAP Influencer Summit will attract 200 or so of the most important tech industry analysts to Santa Clara, Calif. next week, along with a larger group watching the live streams from afar.
It's a big event for anyone in the enterprise software game. Keynote speakers include co-CEO Jim Hagemann Snabe, CTO Vishal Sikka, and Sybase chief marketing officer, Raj Nathan, who will talking about how companies can take advantage of mass interconnectivity. Enterprise mobility, in other words, in the age of Verizon LTE and Sprint 4G.
The event begins Tuesday. Dec. 7 at 8 am Pacific Time and runs most of the day. You can keep up with all of the news in real-time via the Twitter hashtag #SAPsummit, or watch the tweets and blogs at the SAP Newsroom.
Now, SAP is just an enormous and sprawling vendor, as I'm quickly learning as a new-ish member of the family. Besides mobility, there will be 10 other key topic areas at the Influencer Summit.
Still, expect some mobile news to trickle out throughout Tuesday. Besides Nathan's keynote, there will be a panel of innovative customers and partners, some of whom I hope will be able to share their experience using the free SAP Business One app for iPad released last month. That will be followed by an executive Q&A.
After lunch, there will be deep-dive breakout sessions, of which mobile will be one of the tracks. Look for me to tweet from those sessions or retweet analysts sharing their reaction. Influencers - we're all looking forward to your thoughts, so please share!
