What’s new in SAP StreamWork
In our latest release, we’ve focused on making SAP StreamWork easier to use, uniting the people on your team, and helping you work the way you want. Here’s a few things you’ll spot next time you log in.
Comment on status updates
When you post a status update to an activity, others can now add comments to your update – making it easier to see what they’re referring to. You can also be notified by email when someone adds a comment (just go to Settings > Notifications > Status Updates), helping unify your channels of communication.
New way to access feeds
Do you use a feed aggregator like Google Reader or even Microsoft Outlook to pull in RSS or Atom feeds from news sources or blogs? You can now choose to see updates from SAP StreamWork – like action items or comments – alongside other updates within your aggregator. To create a feed URL that you can follow outside of SAP StreamWork, click Updates > Manage Feeds > Feed Access.
Contact Manager shortcut
We’ve added a quick little shortcut to Contact Manager, the place where you can group your contacts into lists so that it’s faster to add a group of people to a new activity. You can still find it in the Participants view of an activity (just click Manage Contacts), but if you’re not in an activity, you can now also click Chat at the bottom of the page and then click Lists > Manage Contacts.
Actions in Participants view
When you’re in an activity, click on the Participants view, and you’ll see a list of people in the activity. Roll over the name of each participant, and you can choose to view their profile, follow their status updates, send them a reminder, or remove them from the activity.
Default view change
To help you start working on an activity faster, the default view for an activity has been changed to the Work Items view. You can still see the latest status updates for an activity by clicking Activity Profile.
