Thank you for structuring. The question I have is around the statement "SAP provides master data management scenarios for analytical [...] use cases". There was no reference to "analytical" in the rest of the blog, so would appreciate a bit more information here. Thank you. -Vitaliy
Hi Vitaliy, Thanks for your feedback. The term "operational MDM" refers to overall business objective of streamlining business processes via consolidating specific master data domains, whereas the term "analytical MDM" relates to the main objective of getting master data clean in order to achieve trusted company reporting. See, for example, the demo about Optimized Supplier Spend Reporting . In many cases, master data consolidated for operational purposes has a direct impact on analytical purposes, too.
I am Ranjani Thoppey from TCS, Bangalore. I have around 2.8 years of experience. I had worked in SAP SD, SAP ABAP, OOABAP. I had attended SAP TechEd 2010, and i found MDM damn intresting. Could you please let me know the scope of MDM, going forward.
Is it possible to share the name of the person who wrote the document "Master Data Management: Quick Starter for Collaborative Material Master Data Creation"?
In our implementaiton for central MDM, we are debating on the best approach for syndicating data to ERP once it is ready. I have created a forum post at Best approach for syndication in Central MDM and look forward to your comments.
