SAP TechED Las Vegas: SCN Community Panel on how we derive value from SCN

A few months ago, Gail Moody-Byrd asked me if I would participate in an SCN Community Panel with Mark Yolton to describe how I derive value from the SCN Community.  I quickly said yes – really, it’s an honor to be asked.  It is an easy topic for me explain.

I was joined on the panel by Karin Tillotson, Valero and fellow SAP Mentor/ASUG Volunteer, David Hull, Disney, Greg Myers, SEI and fellow SAP Mentor/ASUG Volunteer and Derek Loranca, Aetna, fellow ASUG volunteer.

We each described who we were first:

Then we describe how we used it:

Greg Myers describes how he uses it for BusinessObjects and Derek Loranca, Aetna, describes what it is like for a classic BOBJ shop:

I like Derek’s message in that SAP or BusinessObjects – the questions are the same for both groups – what/how you implement, how you are using the tool.

How it helps you to participate:

You learn more by giving more and participating!

Special thanks to Gail Moody-Byrd for arranging and Mark Yolton for hosting.  Time flew by while I was on this panel.

Thanks to Gail for taking the videos too.

I was able to attend a large portion of this session, and it isn't an understatement to say that the audience definitely bought into the value of SCN and the larger SAP Community. To everyone involved, great job!
