Learning on Demand by SAP is launching SAP Sandbox onDemand

Dear all,

I am personally very happy to announce the SAP Sandbox onDemand offering via Learning on Demand by SAP to you today. I have been asked for such an offering repeatedly during my 10 years in and around SAP Education.

This is a first pilot offering with which we will gauge demand and relevancy. The pilot offering consists of an SAP ECC 6.0 system which contains sufficient basic data, such as customer and vendor master data, to enable substantial experimentation.  Using this system, individual users can access the core ERP functionality of modules such as FI and CO, SD, HR and MM and can write and test ABAP code and modify SAP Netweaver settings and configurations. This offering will provide interested individuals with the ability to reinforce their existing SAP ERP knowledge and skills through experimentation in a live but safe environment.  It will also enable you to clarify areas of ambiguity in your knowledge or to test new functionality that they may be considering for an existing or new client.

If this offering proves to be relevant there are various ways in which we could extend it. We can extend the possible subscription periods (1 week or 3, 6, or 12 months), we could also offer different landscapes out of the SAP portfolio, e.g. Industry Solutions, etc.

I encourage you to check out and make use of this new offering and provide us with your feedback as this will be essential to extend it past the pilot period to a more complete SAP Sandbox onDemand offering covering other SAP solutions and offering a range of different access periods.

Best regards,Jan Meyer

I have tried to find detailed information on the Sandbox Architecture/Component to answer few questions I have.

An obvious first question is : is it set-up with the EnhPack 5 ?
And obviously I have other questions.
One of my analyst would like to test BRF+ .... Is it OK on this sanbox ?
Could it be a way to test new features enabled through EnhPack ?
For example : I would like to test "Enhanced Material Search" which implies TREX.
Is it enabled in this sandbox ?

I have used the search of SDN and have not found information.
