Tis that time of year again!

Twitter is going traffic is going crazy with the hash-tag #sapteched which can mean only one thing. Yes, TechEd is upon us again.

As I pen this blog TechEd is currenty in full swing in Berlin, Germany. Next week it's in Las Vegas, USA.

Missing Out Again!

Once again I find myself missing out due to work commitments. I guess this is one of the perils of being an independent consultant.

This is now two years in a row that I have had the misfortune of not being to attend a TechEd. Hopefully next year will be my lucky year.

What does this mean?

So, what does missing TechEd mean to me?

Well, first of all I miss out on catching up with all the great guys & girls of the SAP community.

Secondly I am going to miss the Enterprise Geeks annual dinner. Which, by all accounts, is one of the best events of TechEd. Not mentioning it's a meat lovers dream come true.

And finally, and maybe most importantly of all, I am missing out on hearing about the latest and greatest technologies that will soon be available at an SAP system near you.

Not all is lost

Luckily not all is lost. Each year the good folks at SAP provide access to a virtual TechEd, of which the details can be found here http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/vste and for those who have the opportunity of living in Australia there is always MasteringSAP Technologies in March 2011. More info on MasteringSAPTechnologies can be found here: http://www.masteringsap.com/tech
