Central monitoring of SAP NetWeaver Process Integration 7.3 landscapes with the new PI Work Center in SAP Solution Manager 7.1
Learn how the new PI Work Center within SAP Solution Manager 7.1 helps you to improve your daily operation tasks such as regular system health checks, incident detection and resolution, etc. The PI Work Center can be seen as a central point of entry to monitor your PI landscape, both across and within PI domains. It combines a number of monitors providing an overall status of the PI components, channels, and messages, with the possibility to drill-down to the respective local monitoring tools for further details.
Local monitoring enhancements with SAP NetWeaver Process Integration 7.3
This session gives you an overview about how the local monitoring tools within SAP NetWeaver Process Integration 7.3 have been enhanced. Besides the new PI Monitoring Home page which provides access to all local monitoring tools at a glance, a major improvement has been made with the introduction of the so called user-defined message search which allows to searching messages based on payload data without the need of a TREX server.
Advanced Adapter Engine Extended – a new Java only installation option for SAP NetWeaver Process Integration 7.3
Starting with release 7.3 the well-known Advanced Adapter Engine of SAP NetWeaver Process Integration has been further enhanced to allow a complete Java-based stand-alone installation option for PI. This new option called Advanced Adapter Engine Extended (AEX) comprises, besides others, its own Enterprise Services Repository for the design time and an Integration Directory for the configuration of integration scenarios. In this session you will learn more about its architecture, use cases, pros and cons as well as possible system landscapes with a standalone engine or in combination with already existing SAP NetWeaver PI installations.
Available adapters for SAP NetWeaver Process Integration 7.3
This session provides an overview of the available and supported adapters for SAP NetWeaver Process Integration 7.3. The session considers the adapters developed by SAP as well as adapters provided by partners and independent software vendors.
Federated PI and deployment options
The new Advanced Adapter Engine Extended deployment option can be seen as a Java-only ESB which runs fully independent from a classical PI double-stack installation. This makes new landscape options possible, especially for federated PI. In this session, we discuss about which potential deployment options you have and the rationale behind, and also provide some sample landscape solutions.
