ALM260 SAP Landscape Transformation Software: New Platform for SAP Related Business and IT Transformation
This session had but a few attendees, and without coffee I was having a hard time getting the mental energy to zoom into details of financial charts of accounts for SAP system transformations. I'd been in the ASUG Influence Council webcast kickoff for this topic a few months back, but there's more to learn in a hands-on session.
I definitely got a better sense of how the tool actually works than I did from the prior sessions and slides, though many concepts are foreign to me. Phrases such as "Cross-client harmonization and redesign of business processes" make sense, but have much hidden baggage I'm sure.
The code runs on top of Solution Manager, costs extra, but both of those points are not unexpected. Whether the cost is worth it remains to be seen.
On-line help (as seen in class)

I was invited to a TV interview with Marilyn Pratt and Timo Stelzer on Green IT. It was going to start while I was in my hands-on session, though Brian Bernard pushed the time back to drag me onto the stage. I expect to have the link in by later today or tomorrow and will update this blog then.
See photos, plus the tweet stream, below.
I caught up with Roel van den Berge after seeing him tweet he was still at TechEd, talking to Gregor Wolf. So we gave him the SCNotties treatment. What a good sport!
That's it, it's a wrap, off for a personal (one-day) vacation.
