After having much thought about export process in SAP, I would like to mention that this is a grey area from Indian customers perspective and I would  like to share with you all.

As many would be aware in all developing countries, the local Government would be encouraging the exporters by giving many monetary benefits.  Similarly, in India, many benefits are there for exporters through which, they can avail substantial monetary benefits.  Just to cite few examples, in India, some of major export obligations are “Duty Entitlement Passbook Scheme (DEPB)”,  “Advance Licence” etc., through which exporters are benefiting a lot.

Unfortunately, SAP has not given much importance on this area and almost all SAP customers in India are forced to go with some third party vendor who provides a package, to meet this requirement, thereby, the exporters from India are also forced to go with lot of exits in SAP to develop zee tables to update these data.  I feel, the performance of SAP will get affected to a great extent due to many user exits applied.

Will it be a huge benefit  if SAP can consider this and provide a suitable package to meet this?  I am sure, all developing countries will have such export benefits and if SAP provides a package which caters its customers who do exports to a great extent so that they can revamp all their user exits and improve their SAP performance.
