If you are interested in improving the quality of our process improvement projects by involving as many contributors as possible – especially business users who don’t have experience with complicated process design tools – then I suggest that you attend a TechEd Session in Berlin that fellow SAPMentor Owen Pettiford and myself will be presenting on Tuesday. Entitled “PMC116: Embedding SAP StreamWork-based Collaboration in Process Improvement Projects”, we will discussing the lessons learned that have arisen out of the BPM and Social Media – Another BPX Community Project of the BPXCommunityProject . In particular, we will discuss what happens when Traditional BPM platforms meet Enterprise 2.0 platforms.
Process improvement projects involve a variety of aspects (requirements collection, etc.) – not just process design. Thus, although we will describe our experiences with a prototype of the SAP Process Design tool – Gravity – Collaborative Business Process Modelling and Application Development – in SAP StreamWork, we also discuss the suitability of SAP StreamWork- based collaboration for other project phases.
As a result of this workshop, you will:
- Know what the BPX Community Project is
- Know what SAP StreamWork is
- Know what Social BPM means
- Know what functionality the SAP Process Design tool ‘Gravity’ currently offers
- Understand how to use SAP StreamWork in
- your existing process improvement projects
- Understand how SAP StreamWork may be used in future process improvement projects
Owen and I look forward to seeing you at the session.
If you want to experience the Gravity experience yourself, then I suggest signing up for the Teched Gravity Hands-on Session: PMC162 with Alexander Dreiling and Soeren Balko.
