A taxonomy depicts the hierarchical ordering of categories. Taxonomies allow you to structure a large number of documents that belong to a document set clearly. The classification procedure assigns documents to the categories according to topic.
In PI 7.1 we can classify our enterprise service. to do that we can create or use the existing classifications of the SR. in this blog we will create a new classification in the SR and add a new Enterprise services to it.
to do that, first we need to login into the SR, so in the main screen of our ESR press in the Service Registry.
once you login, we will procedure to create a new classification.to do that go to manage tab and press the NEW button. next on complete the fields of the Details section as figure in the screen.
Next on, log in into ESR,select any services and press rigth button–>Classification.
select the value Customer Adminstration under Lan Group Classification y add the service. then press Finish
Once the Service was classified, in the Enterprise service go to WSDL tab and press Publish Button
To verify if the configuration was right,go to SR, under service defiintion tab search for your service, in my case SQL*.
Check the Classification Tab if the configuration is right.
those simples stepswill allow you to have a good organization or your SR, since you could search for services by Groups if you dont remenber the service name but you know the functionality of it. also polices could be defined and authorization to get access to the services. for more information about SR adminstration take a look to this document Whats new in PI 7.1 HP1.
