I always love to report on actions by SAP Partners with regard to BPM projects.  Its all the better when said partners are also key SAP Mentors.

October is turning out to be a very busy month for a couple of SAP Partners and SAP Mentors who are working on public events with their SAPcustomer clients that have implemented BPM projects.

BPM at SAP Utilities Information Exchange

SAP Mentor john.appleby3/blogof Bluefin Solutions is co-speakingwith his client Anglian Water about a field service optimization processrecently deployed with SAP

NetWeaver BPM at the SAP Utilities Information Exchange Oct 7th and 8th in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom.  While I look forward to someday being able to share more about this application, John tells me that Anglian Waters' goals for the project included optimizing staffing shifts of field service personnel to meet requirements of customerswhile at the same time reducing the amount of overtime paid to staff.  John tells me this kind of solution is usefulfor any utilities that would like to improve efficiency and reduce costs oftheir field service organizations.

BPM/CE Users Group Meeting

Also on Oct 7 is the UK SAP NetWeaver CE User Group Meeting in Warwickshire, organized by SAP Mentor owen.pettiford3/blog of Comprise IT.   Owen, Co-CEO of Comprise IT, is one of the earliest participants in the BPX Community, and has been a very productive implementerof SAP NetWeaver CE and BPM based projects. Comprise IT has also innovated the "Composite in a Day" event, taking customers from idea to concept in an 8 hour event while also delivering a solid technical education about what a BPM implementation is capable of.  Based on this work, CompriseIT was awarded "Outstanding new SAP ecosystem Partner 2009" by SAP UK, and was a global top 3 finalist in the 2010 SAP Pinnacle Awards for "SOA Thought Leadership Partner of the Year".
