Hi

Over the years students have requested information about how do companies buy SAP. This is difficult as the licensing process continually changes and the price company's pay is subject to a confidentiality agreement. SAP has created a tool to help mid size companies estimate the cost of implementation of SAP All In One. This is based on a pre-configured ECC system. I have supplied this tool to students so they can investigate what functionality is supplied and the estimated cost. The tool can be found at

another good tool which students should become familiar with are Solution Maps. These Solution Maps provide detail to the functionality and services included in SAP product offerings. They should be the first stop when trying to understand SAP offerings. A free tool SAP offers in the Solution Map Composer. Companies can use this tool to document what they have implemented and gain a better understanding of what else is on offer. You can download Solution Map Composer at

SAP has created a number of tools to assist mid-size companies better understand SAP solutions.  Unfortunately the tools are not well known.  So I will discuss some of these and how they can be used in the classroom in upcoming blogs.
