SAP Solution Manager 7.0 enhancement package 1 offers the Business Process Change Analyzer (BPCA) tool to generally analyze the impacts of software changes on business processes. SAP now enhanced the tool to identify business processes that are affected by the activation of business functions.
As of SAP Solution Manager 7.0 – SP 23 the Business Process Change Analyzer (BPCA) provides transparency about impacted business processes prior to activation of Business Functions from SAP enhancement packages for SAP ERP.

  • BPCA triggered trace (TBOM) of mission-critical business processes

Procedure
BPCA details
The new function of the BPCA provides the following benefits for SAP customers:
  • Overview of the business processes that are affected by the planned activation of business functions. The analysis is performed prior to the business function activation, which is currently non-reversible in many cases.
  • SAP customers can use the analysis results as a basis to assess the scope of the regression tests required.
  • Based on the assignment of test cases to business processes in SAP Solution Manager, customers can generate their test plan for the regression test.
