Two weeks ago, I made a profound discovery – living in my ‘neighbourhood’ was SCN’s #1 points-holder for 2010. Anyone who has ever clicked on the List of Contributors link in the past couple of years will know about Gordon Du.
Maybe you’ve even asked the same questions I’ve asked myself:
  • Who’s Gordon Du?
  • Why and how did he get so many points?
  • What can I learn from Gordon?
I had the fortune of meeting up with Gordon at the SAP Vancouver office. In an impromptu interview, I asked him a few questions about his contributions on SCN. Thanks Gordon, for being such a good ‘sport,’ and for your willingness to share your knowledge with the community!
What wasn’t captured in this video interview was a compelling story Gordon shared with me of his beginnings here in Canada, his life philosophy, how he learned SAP from scratch, and his proudest moments. In the true spirit of community, Gordon has agreed to share this story and views of SCN in the upcoming Updated! SAP Inside Track Vancouver 2010 (September 15). Remember to either register and attend the event, or tune in live to hear Gordon’s story.
(Sorry about the shaky camera work.)

Gordon brought out his greatest strength: his participation is based upon helping others (not necessarily getting points).  See you via online participation, Gordon, and I look forward to hearing more about what we discussed at the SAP Summit in Portland…
