Mobility for SAP provides a lean mobile access to Data in ERP and CRM without a middleware. The first main scenario is the support of sales reps, who want their account information like adress, contacts, order history, overdue payments, activities or opportunities on their BlackBerry, iPhone or Android. Customer specific enhancements, like Z-Fields or special business objects, can be easily added with pure ABAP skills without time consuming development on the Smartphne.

The second main scenario is mobile workflow approval. Now with the new AddOn it is even easier to implement it. The Smartphone directly connects to the backend and reads the workflow inbox there. The workflows like leave requests, shopping carts or quotations are shown as a list by workflow type. The detail page can be customized or implemented with pure ABAP functionality to show the data which the approver needs. The buttons (approve, reject,…) are automatically created from the workflow decision steps. Now all functionality of mobility for SAP is possible for workflows: Links to deeper detail pages (like order detail), different kind of inputs,… No notification email is needed anymore.

The next step is to implement this in the Java Stack for nearly automatic access to the universal worklist (UWL).

See details and get a demo on your BlackBerry – It’s all in the CRM wiki – Mobility for SAP page.

      Hi Greg,
our experience in the moment is that the mayority of the customers ask for BlackBerry, so the whole infokit is BlackBerry focused.

The iPhone and android client connect to the same webservices as the BlackBerry. So the content is the same for all devices. We ship a standard client for each smartphone.

    Hi Frank,

Will this product be part of the SAP NetWeaver Mobile educational session at the Vegas Innovation Weekend? Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the TechEd.

    Regards,
    Ramki.
