Aspect: Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining
HR5 Operations identified in which the right to exercise freedom of association and collective bargaining may be at significant risk, and actions taken to support these rights.
Aspect: Child Labor
HR6 Operations identified as having significant risk for incidents of child labor, and measures taken to contribute to the elimination of child labor.
Aspect: Forced and Compulsory Labor
HR7 Operations identified as having significant risk for incidents of forced or compulsory labor, and measures taken to contribute to the elimination of forced or compulsory labor.
HR5/ HR6/ HR7 are all qualitative measures. What are all the operation that are risky in relation to Freedom of Association or bargaining, child labor, forced labor needs to be disclosed. Then what checks, measures, policies and procedures are in place to eliminate the risk needs to be disclosed.
Aspect: Security Practices
HR8 Percentage of security personnel trained in the organization’s policies or procedures concerning aspects of human rights that are relevant to operations.
This is similar to SO3/HR3 KPI. First the total employee needs to be restricted to security personnel alone, probably through the unique identification in the Employee ID for security personnel, contractors, suppliers and permanent employees. Then the training needs to be filtered out for the human rights related training to report on the HR8 KPI.
Aspect: Indigenous Rights
HR9 Total number of incidents of violations involving rights of indigenous people and actions taken.
As a prerequisite, the rights of the indigenous people needs to be spelt out, all the employees educated on the same, and a committee formed to look into the violation and recommend disciplinary action.
Once this is done, then the incidents and the action taken can be disclosed either manually or by collecting the data through Records and Case Management Module or HR module Personnel Administration.
Of the 9 KPI in the Human Rights under GRI framework, the following is the split up of the dependent modules:
- Manual data collection/ through SuPM for HR5, HR6, HR7.
- HR – Events and Training Management or Personnel Administration for HR3, HR4, HR8
- Records and Case Management for HR4 and HR9.
- Material Management for HR2.
- FI – Investment Management for HR1.
