For more information about the power of influence councils, see Karin Tillotson’s blog titled Why I believe in the power of ASUG Influence Councils Part 2 – The ASUG UI Influence Council

What types of webcasts does ASUG offer?  Many webcasts are given from customer’s experiences.  Last week, I attended an excellent ASUG webcast given by Brian Durning, Pepsico, about Building a Crystal Report Against a Universe.  Through both live demos and slides, he showed us how to connect your Crystal Report to a Business Objects Universe and reviewed the differences between using a direct data connection and the Universe layer.

What about BusinessObjects content at ASUG chapter meetings?  In April, I attended the Northern Virginia ASUG chapter meeting and learned how BusinessObjects is used at the State Department Bureau of Public Diplomacy.  The State Department uses Xcelsius for dashboards, Webi as the adhoc query tool, Business Objects Enterprise (BOE) for Universe Design.  The application is used to report of how much is spent on a mission, media coverage, how many people reached.

So if you are a BusinessObjects customer, why not take advantage of this offer?  Sign up today for your complimentary membership
