SAP Business One in Action is a new library relating to the SME solution SAP Business One. This package is one of the most versatile SME products available on the market today. The software provides a complete solution to many industries. One of the key advantages of the application is its seemingly endless capacity for customisation to suit (almost) every need.

This catalog is designed to aid persons who sell, implement, customise and use SAP Business One. You will find precise descriptions of otherwise lesser known functionalities with examples of how to apply them, detailed instructions on how to set up specific business processes, workarounds for presently unavailable features and much more. The structure of the catalog divides the application into the following segments:

The Administration section contains articles related to set-up, for example, a step-by-step guide on how to set up a default warehouse for a particular sales office location.

Under Accounting you will find articles mainly related to the Finance and Banking modules in SAP Business One, for example, detailed instructions on how to exclude zero value journal entries from a Customer Statement or how to report tax on received dunning fees.

Logistics incorporates all Sales/Purchasing content and anything related to Inventory, such as Serial & Batch numbers, Bill of Materials, Production & Material Resource Planning.  In that section you will find, for example, instruction on how to set up an alert that is triggered when stock falls to within a certain percentage of the minimum level or how to close a delivery document with open freight charges.

Migration & Optimization focuses on implementation questions and is under active development.

The content is derived from business consulting requests from partners to SAP and relates to the currently supported versions of SAP Business One (2007 and 8.80).

All future content will be based on version 8.8x and future versions only. Content related solely to SAP Business One 2007 can still be accessed in the EoP Wiki until the version goes out of maintenance.

These articles are real-life answers to real-life questions!

Please send us any questions or remarks.
