MATERIALS WITH STOCK:

If the Material Ledger is active, the actual price calculated cannot be negative. If this is the case, the system will calculate the actual price for a period following this fallback strategy:

•1.   Periodic unit price calculated based in the Cumulative inventory line CKM3.

If there are no values or the price is negative ->

•2.   Periodic unit price calculated based in the Receipts line CKM3.

If there are no values or the price is negative ->

•3.   Periodic unit price calculated based in the Beginning inventory line CKM3.

If there are no values or the price is negative ->

•4.   Periodic unit price of the previous period.

If there are no values or the price is negative ->

•5.   Standard price of the current period.

For the material in the example, for period 11/2009 the system uses strategy 4, as there are no values in the previous strategies.

If the material for the previous period did not yet have any periodic unit price, the system uses the standard price of the current period as the new periodic unit price.

MATERIALS WITH STOCK = 0

For zero stock materials, the actual price is calculated first by copying the actual price of the previous period (even if the value is 0). If there is a problem (e.g. inconsistency with cost component split price) then the fallback strategy is to use the standard price of the period being settled.

When you start to have stock for these materials, the actual will be calculated during single-level price determination.
