One of the great things about the enterprise geeks podcast recently is how Tom and Ed have been digging Rich Heilman about how he is organising the SAP Inside Track Newtown Square.  "He's got his marketing hat on" As if wearing such a hat was a bad bad thing to be doing for a developer and geek.

Well over in London I am wearing the same hat. Rallying the troops to let them know about the awesome event coming up on the 19 June at the IBM Southbank centre.

What should you expect from an SAP Inside Track Unconference day? Lots of enterprise  geekery, lots of networking, conversation, food and later in the evening a beer or two.

What is great about the London event is that we have people coming not only from the trenches of SAP Projects but we have people from academic research, people contributing to the Apache Aries project and lots of SAP Mentors. i am especially pleased (as I announced before) that James Farrar is coming to give the keynote at 10 am on what SAP is doing in sustainability and given the events that are happening in the Gulf of Mexico this is an topical subject that is important to all enterprises.

I was asked today if this was an event only for mentors.

NO, no and a thousand times no.

This is for anyone who is interested in SAP and enterprise geekery. You don't need to be technical or 20 year abaper. Functional, BW, APO, Java, Portal, CRM etc etc etc are all welcome. Heck, we will even let you in if you do BSP!
