Today a lot of Web Dynpro for Java applications are built on customer side running on top of the SAP NetWeaver 7.0x release. Meanwhile there are the SAP NetWeaver 7.1x and 7.2x releases out - time to migrate the Web Dynpro for Java applications to the newer releases.

The document available here summarizes a lot of aspects need to keep in mind as soon as you want to migrate your existing Web Dynpro for Java applications running on top of the SAP NetWeaver 7.0x release to one of the newer SAP NetWeaver releases 7.1x and 7.2x.

It describes for example aspects if and how you could migrate single Web Dynpro applications or components. It contains also hints to migrate complete projects and ends with a detailed list of functional changes.
