Dear SAPPPHIRE NOW attendees and Portal community,

On behalf of the SAP NetWeaver Portal Product Management group, I would like to thank you all for a great SAPPHIRE event. We had a great opportunity to hear your voice and share our roadmap and new products we are planning to release this year, as announced in my preview SAP NetWeaver Portal – Looking forward to 2010….

In case you ask yourself: where can I download the presentations given during the SAPPHIRE event from? So, all ASUG presentations are available in the following link (use your ASUG account to access).

With this blog, I would like also to share with you some updates about SAP NetWeaver Portal, Enterprise Workspaces and SAP NetWeaver Portal - Next Major Release (7.3) as we first SAP NetWeaver Portal – Looking forward to 2010… about half a year ago.

SAP NetWeaver Portal - Next Major Release (7.3)

First of all, thanks to all our customers and partners who were willing to participate in the beta program of the next major release of the Portal!

The beta program has started in early May and out of the many (!) contributors who applied to this special opportunity, more than 20 participants are currently working with the new SAP NetWeaver Portal release and providing us valuable feedback (gladly this is a very positive feedback!). We plan to extend the participation list in the coming weeks, so in case you were not selected yet, there is still a chance.

For all of you who have applied to the beta program and were not accepted, please accept our apology, number of seats is limited and we had tens of candidates.

These days we are working to implement last fixes according to the beta participants' feedback and planning the ramp-up program by the end of the year.

SAP NetWeaver Portal, Enterprise Workspaces

During SAPPHIRE we were pleased to have the first demonstration of our new product: SAP NetWeaver Portal, Enterprise Workspaces, which enables enterprise end-users to integrate and run structured and unstructured assets using a self-service approach. For all of you who could not attend the SAPPHIRE event, we plan to share more information on the SDN in the coming weeks.

In the meanwhile, I would like to share with you some screenshots of this new product. Note that these are preliminary screenshots given as "LAB PREVIEW".
