Are you still using Windows 2000 or 2000 Server?

If you are still using Windows 2000, please plan accordingly. The SAP BusinessObjects Postalsoft products have not been supported on Win 2000 for quite sometime. We know we still have some customers using this operating system therefore, wanted to send this out as a reminder to you.

      Windows 2000 is still supported on the 5/13/2010 release notes; the statement that it has not been supported for a long time is thus puzzling. Windows XP EOL is close upon us, also. Please migrate Postalsoft products to Linux.

      If you are refering to Postalsoft DeskTop Mailer or Business Edition (supported only on Windows), they are currently supported on Windows XP. We follow Microsoft's end of life policy. It looks like Windows XP Service Pack 2 is ending on July 13. Microsoft recommends installing Service Pack 3 or of course upgrading to Windows 7. I would refer to the Microsoft end of life link referred to in this initial blog for more details. Then I would keep an eye on the Release Notes for the various Postalsoft products as to what is supported in the future. At this time I have not heard we are ending our support of XP, but I'll let you know if this changes.

      Windows XP is still supported by Microsoft although Windows XP Service Pack 2 support ends in July with the Windows 2000 support end of life. Microsoft recommends you upgrade to Windows XP Service Pack 3, of which we will continue to test. I hope this helps.
