Learning SAP BW, The Twitter way – BW-Tweet #15

Thanks for all the support to this series and I look forward to your continued support. If you have some good inputs to be shared with larger group, please share through this series or otherwise.

Now we are almost 350 on www.twitter.com/sapbwtweet. Many thanks for being there. Those of you who are still not there, be the part of group at www.twitter.com/sapbwtweet

There is lot happening in SAP space from proposed take over of ‘Sybase’ to ‘SAP working with HP on next level of BWA, known as HPA’ to ‘in-memory database’. I am sure each one of you having a tab on it. Considering all this looks like next couple of years are going to pretty interesting.

Tweet#15

You must have created Infosets or soon be creating one, but did you notice? –  You can not access navigational attributes while creating queries and to enable this infoobjects need to be part of Infoset itself.

For example my DSO ‘xyz’ has got 0Comp_code as part of it, when creating Infoset ‘IXYZ’ on this DSO. Navigational attributes of 0Comp_code shall not be accessible. To use navigational attributes of 0Comp_code, make 0comp_code part of Infoset ‘IXYZ’.

Needless to say try it on Sandbox, development system before attempting on production environment.

See you soon!!!
